If you have Don Marquis books in good to excellent condition, especially first editions with dust covers intact, please let us know what you have and give us your price or leave your email address and we will put you in touch with other collectors. We have multiple copies on hand of all of Don's books, as we are constantly upgrading our collection. These books are available for purchase or for trade. We are especially interested in finding a copy in good condition of Don's original 100 copy limited edition printing of "Ode to Hollywood".

Most of Don's books are readily available through dealers who specialize in used and rare book. Many of these are online and can be searched at once through Alibris.com.

Since we are constantly upgrading our collection, we have on hand extra copies of nearly every book Don wrote, including several original printings of Don's Archy & Mehitabel books. If you wish to acquire one of these, please inquire by email.

We are in touch with the publisher of the 1978 edition of Don's Broadway play, Everything's Jake, published in a very limited edition of 100 copies or less by Non-Profit Press to commemorate Don's 100th birthday. Jim Ennes, your friendly webmaster, offers hard bound copy #5 of Don's privately printed 500 copy limited edition of Her Foot is on the Brass Rail. in exchange for an original in good condition of Don's Ode to Hollywood. This 23-page 8-1/4" x 5-3/4" eulogy to "the old bar room" is illustrated by James Thurber and is the only Don Marquis book recognized by the Library of Congress as a "rare book" and given special protection in the Rare Book Division where it can only be examined under the very close scrutiny of library guards. Jim would also entertain offers to trade this book for a copy in good condition with dust cover of Don's Mr. Hawley Breaks into Song, privately printed in 200 copies in 1923.
