Some of Don's neighbors
This picture taken on July 4, 1910, depicts the webmaster's grandparents Lindsey (1886-1960) and Caroline (1885-1966) in the automobile of my great grandfather, James Ennes (1857-1915). The child is my father, James Ennes (1908-1997). The women in the back are several Ennes and Bass family cousins. The house in the background belonged to my great great grandfather, Theodore Ennes (1834-1911). All four generations are buried in Walnut Cemetery. The house stood on the main highway about a mile from Walnut until it was destroyed in the 1980s.
